Terms of Use

Effective November 4, 2026

These terms govern your use of the Abundance Events apps and websites, including the websites of individual events, provided by Abundance Institute. By using them you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.

1. Using the app

Abundance Events lets people register for events, see their tickets, agendas and updates, and lets event staff run events and check people in. You may use it only for those purposes and in line with these terms. You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live and at least 13 (16 in the European Economic Area and the UK).

We may change, suspend or remove features, and we may update the app for security or compatibility.

2. Accounts and sign-in

You sign in with a one-time code we email you. You are responsible for keeping access to your email secure and for activity under your account. Do not share codes. Tell us if you think someone else has access.

Staff accounts are for authorized event staff only and may be limited to the events they work on.

3. Registration, tickets and payments

Each event sets its own prices, ticket types, transfer, cancellation and refund rules, code of conduct and other policies. Those are shown when you register and apply to your ticket in addition to these terms. If they conflict about an event, the event’s policies win for that event.

Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are in the currency shown and include any taxes noted at checkout. Tickets can be refused or cancelled if payment fails or if we find fraud or a breach of these terms. Tickets are not for resale unless the event allows transfers.

Some events review registrations before confirming them. For those events, registering is an application: it does not guarantee a place, and the organizer may decline it. If a paid ticket needs approval, your card is saved when you apply and charged only if you are approved.

4. Acceptable use

Do not:

  • break the law or infringe anyone’s rights;
  • register using someone else’s identity or give false information;
  • upload a photo of anyone else, or content that is unlawful, harassing, or sexually explicit;
  • probe, scan or test the service for weaknesses, or bypass rate limits or access controls;
  • scrape data, reverse engineer the app, or use it to send spam;
  • interfere with the service or with other people’s use of it.

5. Your content and photos

You keep ownership of what you submit, including your photo and registration answers. You give us and the organizers of the events you register for a limited license to store, process and display it as needed to run the events and the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You promise you have the right to submit it. We may remove content that breaks these terms.

6. Our intellectual property

The app, website, name, logo and software belong to Abundance Institute or its licensors. We give you a personal, limited, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for its intended purpose. Event names, logos and content belong to their organizers.

7. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Event schedules, speakers and venues are set by organizers and can change. We are not responsible for what organizers or other attendees do.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Abundance Institute and its staff, directors and suppliers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or lost profits or data, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us through the service in the 12 months before the claim and US$100. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the app at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, put others or the service at risk, or if we are required to by law. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as content license, disclaimers, liability and governing law) will survive.

10. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The state and federal courts located in Salt Lake County, Utah have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute about these terms or the service, except where your local consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new effective date and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use the service after changes take effect means you accept them.
